"Holy Diver"

The feeling I try to embed in my art comes from dreams of the ancient past where the world is empty, silent. I found this feeling when first experiencing freediving. The silence and limited vision of unknown underwater reality resembles this unique dreamy feeling. Places like Fomm-ir-Rih, or Dwejra in Gozo, where huge cliffs vanish in depths, dark caves of Lapsi, stone tunnels in Il-Majjistral, or the industrial barren underwater landscapes with submerged concrete blocks, chains and rusted elements hidden in dark waters of Marsamxett, are my endless inspiration. The title is taken from Ronny James Dio song.
