"The Stairs"

The biggest impact on my personality, visual fascinations, and finally on my art, was a place where I was born and spent most of my life, the Oliwa quarter in Gdansk, Poland. It is a place full of natural and historical monuments dating back to the forgotten pagan iron ages. Old forests and the beauty of pre-WW2 architecture contrast with falling apart grey concrete of socrealistic brutalism. This piece was inspired by renovated stairs on the watchtower on `Pacholek` Hill.
